DS: Photographs of your dog, how much, how many?
I’m a photography nut, have a ton of gear, software and gadets and have taken literally hundreds of pictures of my dogs.
But only recently did I get one really nice picture – actually two – one of the black GSD (which is in my avatar) and one of my old boy. NIce meaning worthy of processing into a large canvas or paper print for framing in my home.
Since I have the skill and knowledge and equipment, I will do it myself. I’ve got a few pictures already in my home of my oldest GSD, but none of the other two. Its a noticeable gap I intend to fill.
So question:
Do you have photographs of your dogs in your home? How many?
Do you have them framed under glass, or blown up BIG on canvas (stretched over wood canvas frame to a size around 24×36 inches) ?
Have you ever paid for pro photographer to take pictures of your dog?
Or are you just content to have snappies in a digital album on-line to share with friends or (O-Mi-Gawd) you are a dedicated to film, and have your Kodak moments safely stored in your buffet.
Curious
One other question: Do people keep pictures of their deceased dogs in their home as memories?
I agree that my motivation of late is my old dog. I decided I wanted one great shot and took literally 300 of them (I was away canoeing and made it my project). I tend to prefer natural uncontrived shots with no shadows (they tend to show up like big dark blobs when you blow them up).
Thanks everyone for feedback.

What sort of copyright text can I place on printed images I am selling?
I am selling an Inspirational – Digital Photograph so to speak. This is simply an image taken by me, and has text or wording which I photo-shopped onto the image. The text on the image is not something I got off the net, but is also something that is written by me. Given that I will be selling this completed Image (with text) to clients in the form of a Canvas or a framed photograph, what sort of copyright wording would be appropriate to place on the image that would state the following:
- I am the owner of the image, and the text on the image.
- However the canvas belongs to the owner (I do not want to give the impression that the printed canvas belongs to me. The printed canvas belongs to the owner, but the image and text belongs to me.)
The copyright wording will be in a very small font and placed in the bottom right or left hand corner of the image.
Thanks

Might be a dumb question but thank you for answering it! ![]()
Okay now here’s another question… .What it if he gives photo credit on the back? Its completely altering the image to a line drawing with one color.
Looking to step up my camera. Help?
Currently I have a Sony Cybershot that is many years old but was a pretty top of the line ‘point and shoot’ at the time of purchase.
I’m now looking to step it up into a higher MP camera with better zoom capability and more options. One of those ‘point and shoot’ that looks and performs more like a digital SLR but without the damage to the bank account.
I am looking at an Nikon Coolpix 12.1mp, an Olympus SP 12mp, and a Fujifilm FinePix 12.2mp. I also recall looking at a 14mp model but don’t remember what brand. These seem like cheaper options but do they work well? Which is the best?
I will primarily be using these for vacations and if a picture is nice enough, have it printed on canvas and huge up.
I am living in Colorado for the summer so I would like the camera to be able to do some justice to the mountains, wildlife etc.
I have quite a lot of experience with cameras and am tech savvy.
Heard Nikon is quite reliable. Please help me out!

How can I print my digital photographs to sell?
I am interested in trying to get my photography out for people to purchase. I want to be able to make large prints on different type of papers, canvases, etc. I want them to look professional, not like they were printed out a the drug store.
digital painting printed on canvas?
Hi I have a quaestion about a job I have to do, I have to do a digital painting of someone 50×30 inches and then print it. The person wants it to look like a traditional painting on canvas, if I printed it on canvas material would it look like a traditional painting or do I have to apply a medium to it, if I do have to apply a medium what can I add to it? Thanks a lot
When I print digital images on Canvas they always come out very dark, how can I correct this?
When I send a painting with olive green or brown borders or colors to the printer, the colors come out close to black. I convert to CMYK and the proof sent to me looks good but the print comes out very dark .If In RGB ,I check Proof and Gamut warning in CMYK after painting and increase birghtness and contrast so there is no gamut warning showing, will this help color from being printed so dark? Any other suggestions to get a painting to look like the original artwork and not blacken darker brown areas up and loose detail. ?
I'm having a copy of a picture enlarged from 17×22 to 24×36. Need to know of a place that can print on canvas?
It’s a digital photo of an oil painting that I want to return to it’s original size and visual texture. Thanks
